I always wanted to work for the city actually, but I finally got in. It took a few years, but it was well worth it. My hiring process was pretty easy, basic to me. Go online, put in your application, ‸ you submit a nice resume, anything that you have done, your background work. Wait a few days, a week or so, get a call for an interview, come in for your interview, wear your nice vest, smile, just tell the exact truth of what you can do, what you're capable of. Then after that, you know, they'll give you a call back if you're good, you know, if not, just try again, because believe me, somewhere, somebody wants you. There's plenty of opportunities and there's a lot of things that I can learn. I don't want to be just a one trick pony. I like to have multiples. So I just like to learn any and everything and besides it becomes useful in life in general. So why not?

There's a lot of things that you have to do extra that people don't understand that you put yourself out there to do. But once you get the job done and it's all satisfied, there's a lot of people that show us a lot of gratitude also. That's why the downtown Cocoa area, pretty much daily we get compliments down there. And I really appreciate for everyone that gives us the compliments. I love it. When you're into the city, they take care of you like a family. And that's definitely what I love about this job.
