Transcript Partial transcript

Machine transcription of this recording. The words are the recognizer's, except where a passage is marked as corrected or machine re-recognized; most have not been checked against the audio, so words, numbers and names can be misheard. It describes what was said. It cannot establish who voted how, an amount or an outcome. A time links to its passage, and “Copy link” copies that link. “▶ Play” opens the recording at that moment, on YouTube; on this page it moves the player above the transcript.

Speakers were separated by voice. A plain name rests on evidence tied to that voice; “provisional” is a name from an earlier text-only pass and is not verified; “Speaker N” is an unidentified voice.

If a veteran comes through my door and has a need, then everything stops and they can shop in here and get whatever they need. I have a long history of military service. I'm a veteran. My father was a veteran.

the electric on, but we're here primarily to make sure these guys get what they need. Okay, so the footlocker is a room that we built in our first store and it was out of necessity because we kept stuff squirreled away for our homeless veterans that were in need. We put all the toiletries, we put all the camping gear, we put all the first aid supplies, we also put all manner of military uniforms or uniform pieces, military gear such as canteens. We even have some military issue cots. We put all that in there and locked it up. Nobody can go into the footlocker. Nothing is in there is for sale.

When you're in the military and you need something, you go to your footlocker. So that's why we call it the footlocker. The city has been very, very helpful to us as far as ‸ giving us tips on ‸ how to better ‸ make this place more functional, safer, and more successful. Come in and support us. We make it a point not to ask for money. Bring us the stuff. Trust us to get it to who it needs to go to. Anybody that wants to come by, ask what we do.
